This program is for ages 10 - 14 years old.
Workouts focus on strength, agility and speed training with a heavy emphasis on improving your athletes change of direction (COD) ability. The athletes will workout in small groups up to 12 people per group.
Improving and refining your athlete's strength, agility and speed is imperative when competing in athletics. The ability to perform a rapid change of direction (COD) is a critical skill to be successful and competitive in numerous court and field-based sports.
Nate Mendoza played college baseball at Upper Iowa University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He worked at Dos Pueblos High School for 11 years first as a Special Education Teacher and then as the Dean of Students. He is in his 5th year working at Santa Barbara High School where he has served as Assistant Principal and Dean of Stu
Nate Mendoza played college baseball at Upper Iowa University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He worked at Dos Pueblos High School for 11 years first as a Special Education Teacher and then as the Dean of Students. He is in his 5th year working at Santa Barbara High School where he has served as Assistant Principal and Dean of Students. Nate coached high school athletics for 11 years, 1 year at Lompoc High School and 10 years at Dos Pueblos High School. He was head coach of the varsity baseball team for 4 years, assistant varsity football coach for 4 years and head varsity football coach for 6 years. He coached youth baseball, basketball and football in Santa Barbara for 5 years. For the past 3 years Nate was the director and coach of the XFactor Baseball Academy. He currently works at Santa Barbara High School as the head varsity football coach and Dean of Students
Shawn Poindexter played football receiver at the University of Arizona, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He then went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers for two years. He finished playing one year in the USFL. His passion is to help kids achieve their goals on and off the field.
Frankie Gamberdella was born and raised in Santa Barbara and has been competing in sports since he can remember. He attended Santa Barbara High playing three years of Varsity football while also playing Baseball and Basketball. He graduated in 2019 and then went on to play football at Sacramento State University. He ended up transferring

He attended Santa Barbara High playing three years of Varsity football while also playing Baseball and Basketball. He graduated in 2019 and then went on to play football at Sacramento State University. He ended up transferring after his freshman year to SBCC for a year then went to a small school in Connecticut, Sacred Heart University where he continued to play football. While there, he received his Business Degree. Frankie loves being able to help local kids and wants to share his experience to help kids reach their goal. Whether it's to play at the next level or not.
